Turf Group's various grass and turf reinforcement products have been specially designed to make protection of wet & muddy land fast and easy.
All products are easy to lay, by simply unrolling and pinning into position. Depending on your requirement, the protected area can be completely disguised as normal grass, or the protection can easily be re-used again and again.

Grass Protection
Grass Protection is a tough, flexible and long lasting polyethylene mesh, available in two grades (Standard & Heavy), and supplied in two roll sizes (2m x 20m & 1m x 10m).
Grass Protection can be effectively employed over stable ground by simply unrolling and anchoring adjacent and successive lengths using either metal or plastic fixing pins. After a suitable period of time, the grass will grow through the mesh and reach a convenient height to be mown. The area quickly adopts a natural appearance with the grass plants intertwined with the mesh to provide permanent protection against wear.
Installation is best carried out during the growing season to allow a strong interlock between the mesh and the sward, although Grass Protection can be installed throughout the year as appropriate.

Turf Protection
Turf Protection is a polyethylene mesh, which is tough, flexible and long lasting, and is supplied on 2m wide x 30m long rolls and in two grades (Standard and Premium).
Turf Protection can be effectively employed over stable ground by simply unrolling and fixing adjacent and successive lengths. After a suitable period of time, the grass will have grown through the mesh and reached a convenient height to be mown, where it can be rolled and fertilised as usual. When fully established, the area adopts a natural appearance with the grass plants intertwined with the mesh to provide a permanent protection against wear.
Installation is ideally carried out during the growing season to allow a strong interlock between the mesh and the sward. However, more growing time must be allowed if installed out of season.

Turf Carpet
Turf Carpet incorporates our heavy duty grass protection mesh, bonded to a strong non-woven needle-punched textile. It provides for temporary protection and access requirements on grassed surfaces particularly in wet and muddy conditions. Re-useable over and over again, and is quick to install / quick to remove.
With the mesh laid on the ground with the textile upwards, Turf Carpet provides a clean, stable and safe surface for pedestrian walkways at outdoor events, as well as flooring in marquees - whilst protecting the grass from damage.

Anti-plugging mesh
Golf ball anti-plugging mesh is a ground reinforcement mesh for golf driving range surfaces. The reinforcement mesh is used to prevent golf balls from plugging into the driving range's fairway surface in wet conditions.

Golf Ball Anti-plugging mesh is simply laid onto the existing grass surface and pinned, ensuring that the mesh is flat against the surface. If laid in the growing season, the grass will grow quickly through the mesh apertures and will disappear from view, whilst stabilising the surface and preventing any further plugging of the golf balls.
It is supplied on 2m wide rolls in two mesh apertures, and is available in black or green. The mesh should be overlapped by 100mm on installation to ensure a full coverage is applied.
